A source close to Rihanna and Matt Kemp say the baseball star isn’t exactly thrilled about the amount of media attention he has gotten since they began dating.

Dating a global music star, did he expect to be under the radar?

Matt is upset given “the negative publicity he’s received over the last couple weeks.” Does that imply he’s the one sitting out the Grammy Awards by choice?

Rihanna and Matt Kemp sure act like a couple.

It’s all good, though, the source says. Rihanna is cool with flying stag, but at the same time, “they are very much together and unfazed by recent events.”

The negative attention and “recent events” would be rumors of Kemp’s past with an ex-girlfriend and media outlets even comparing him to Chris Brown.

Kemp probably would have been happy to accompany Rihanna to the Grammy Awards if “this other nonsense” had not happened, an insider dished.

But, because things did, “He wouldn’t want to take anything away from her having a perfect evening.” Sounds like a pretty gentlemanly move to us.

Even better? Rihanna and Matt Kemp are set rendezvous next weekend in Miami for the Super Bowl. So all is well in hot, denied relationship land.

Bluewater Productions has come out with a preview of its new line, Fame. The first installment featured GaGa, while the latest will focus on the world’s most popular fake vampire.

This 32-page novel doesn’t comes out until May, but as the Web’s foremost source for Twilight Saga news and gossip, THG has an early look at R. Patt in this new form:

One of the most touching moments from Michael Jackson’s memorial service in July was the brief speech by his daughter, Paris, to her beloved, late father.

Tonight, Paris and brothers Prince Michael and Prince Michael II (a.k.a. Blanket) will be at the Grammy Awards and speak during a tribute to the King of Pop.

E! reports that Michael’s surprisingly normal, well-adjusted children will be on stage during a tribute to the icon to “read some sort of speech” about him.

Several other members of the Jackson family are already planning to be in the audience at Los Angeles’ Staples Center for the music industry’s big night.

On top of Prince, Paris and Blanket, Céline Dion, Carrie Underwood and Usher are among those who will be participating in the Jackson tribute this evening.

Michael’s pop star sister Janet Jackson presided over a muscial tribute to Michael Jackson, who passed away in June, at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

We’ll be very interested to see the children take part in this evening’s tribute, which will honor perhaps the most successful and influential artist of all time.

Caressa Cameron was crowned Miss American 2010 last night, beating out a field of 52 other contestants and pocketing $50,000 for the honor.

In June, Cameron earned the Miss Virginia title on her fourth attempt. At the time, the 22-year-old communications major said her platform would focus on AIDS education.

“I lost an uncle to AIDS, and my family also helped care for a foster child with juvenile AIDS,” Caressa said. “I really think our school systems do a wonderful job educating students about AIDS. But young people have developed an apathetic attitude toward this disease and feel this can’t affect them.”

Mario Lopez hosted last night’s annual event in Las Vegas. Miss California took first runner-up, while Miss Louisiana rounded out the top three.

He’s probably the only American Idol in history to be remembered more for his physical state than his singing voice.

That’s what happens when you audition with two broken wrists.

Indeed, Tyler Grady fell out a tree soon before he tried out for the show in Boston. The result? A memorable rendition of Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.” He received approval for Hollywood from all four judges.

Rumored to be one of this season’s 24 semifinalists, Grady is a 19-year old from Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

He’s the lead singer for a rock band called Wailing Waters. It’s actually won a trio of battle of the bands competitions over the year: the Mayfair Festival Band Battle, Croc Rock Band Battlefest and Nazareth Day Battle of the Bands.

The professional attention-grabber claims to have been articially inseminated with the child her and Casey Johnson always dreamed of having. Is there any evidence? Yes… if you consider exclamation points and capital letters to be proof. She wrote on her blog today:

TILA TEQUILA IS OFFICALLY PREGNANT, 100% CONFIRMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  & THIS BABY WAS NO “ACCIDENT” EITHER!!!!!!!!

Tequila went on to say she doesn’t want to “exploit” her child. In related news, she’s shopping around ultrasound photos of it for a price.

Hopefully, if any website takes her up on the offer, Tila will use the money to seek professional help.

Jon Gosselin has eight kids, but he’s got more important things to do. Like introducing his new girlfriend, Morgan Christie, to his closest friends – the paparazzi.

Both wearing black jackets, the couple has been photographed at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, the snowy resort town where they first met.

They aren’t exactly hiding their relationship, either.

Morgan Christie was spotted making out with Jon Gosselin at House of Hype party at Cisero, in what an onlooker called “Tons of PDA, holding hands, kissing.”

“Everyone remarked how inappropriate it was. [Gosselin] seemed to love the attention … [Christie] was clingy and got jealous when he talked to other girls.”

Jon Gosselin is loving life with Morgan Christie’s family’s money.

They are staying at a “massive mansion” owned by Christie’s weathly family near Park City, where they’ve been seen at Sundance (she resides in California).

It’s all about Utah for Jon, though. Rumor has it the couple may be moving to Utah together, and that Jon is considering it his “home base” now. Loser.

Park City is the same town where Gosselin was photographed on vacation with friends, including schoolteacher Deanna Hummel, in March of last year.

Hummel was the first chick rumored to be doing then-married Jon, who was also linked to Kate Major and Stephanie Santoro, and dated Hailey Glassman.

Jon also took the family on vacation to Park City two years ago. But “This year I’m having fun,” he said. “Just snowboarding, relaxing with my girlfriend.”

Run for it, Morgan. As fast as you can.

We know two things about Robert Pattinson:

2. He can make women everywhere swoon.

We also know the star doesn’t have a terrible singing voice, but that does mean he’s prepared to make an album?

Sources tell London’s The Sun that none other than Simon Cowell has approched Pattinson about recording a CD. This has even led to a rumored bidding war between companies vying to put out Robert’s album.

But an insider claims the actor, who plays piano and guitar, is unsure about delving into another industry:

“Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star – and takes his music very seriously. He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell who is, of course, associated with X Factor and pop.”

He’s also associated with creating worldwide singing sensation, but it’s not as though Robert needs help in that area. He’s on the verge of becoming a true movie star.

There’s no way Simon Cowell has given the thumbs up to a Robert Pattinson album… right?
